Virginia eatery that booted Sarah Sanders suffers tourism meltdown
Newton’s Law of Physics states “For every action, there’s usually an equal and opposite reaction.” That same law of physics can also be applied in the divisive world of politics, and perhaps no one knows that better then the regional tourism board in Virginia, who’ve witnessed their charming little state lose a massive amount of tourism trade, since The Red Hen Restaurant located in Lexington, decided to politicize a sample act of enjoying a meal, by booting Press Secretary Sarah Sanders from their eatery.
On Thursday the regional tourism board met the Lexington City Council to discuss the sizable lose of summer tourism revenues, and how to recapture the goodwill of visitors.
Members from Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County, initially approved the recovery plan soon after the antics of co-owner Stephanie Wilkinson became national news, and the state began losing tourism dollars.
The shameful incident started with a telephone call on a Friday night from a traumatized Red Hen employee, calling Wilkinson with the dreadful news that Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, and her party had ventured into their establishment for a quiet dinner, “what to do, what to do?”
Most rational business owners would tell their snowflake employees to get a grip, smile and serve the Press Security, however not Wilkinson who immediately decided to use the incident as a public flogging against Sanders, and by extension the president.
Within days of the incident, Wilkinson became a media sensation among the progressive Left, basking within the glow of publicity, and giving out interviews.
Soon after Wilkinson’s self-serving interviews, the pro-Trump demonstration began, at first with a few protesters in front of the Red Hen restaurant holding signs, which forced Wilkinson to close her establishment.
Patty Williams the Director of Marketing acknowledged the flood of cancellations and phone calls she received since the incident occurred.
Democratic lawmaker threatens immigration officials
Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego recently tweeted out an ominous warning, “If you are a US government official and you are deporting Americans, when the worm turns you will not be safe because you were just following orders.”
The congressman continued, “You do not have to take part in illegal acts ordered by this president’s administration.”
Then Gallego takes his discourse a step further by making an overt threat against ICE Agents, saying they “will not be safe” from future punishment once president Trump is out of office.
The promised vendetta apparently seeking vengeance against law enforcement didn’t go unnoticed by Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council.
He quickly blasted the pudgy lawmaker’s veiled threat encouraging violence against immigration law enforcement officials:
“It should be frightening to every American that a sitting member of Congress would threaten the safety of any person and their family, and incite the public to take acts of violence against them, let alone the lives of those whose job it is to protect us and keep us safe,”
Gallego’s remarks apparently raised some eyebrows even within his own party, and he was forced to tone down his language. However the message was the same, “Government officials who violate the law or the constitution will not be immune to legal consequences,” he said. “They will eventually be held accountable for their actions, even if the Trump administration is refusing to do so.”
Perhaps Gallego and his colleagues were putting together a “hit-list” of law enforcement agents, targeting them for reprisals after the president leaves office.
